get your country on
I hope you have been doing great!
I'm so excited to share some news and this new single with you!
I hit one of those life road blocks with production of the album late last year. The
Producer's time was just so in demand and the album timeline kept getting
pushed back. I had to make the tough decision to wrap up a few more tunes with
him in the short day he had available for me and find another Producer to finish
the album with. I'm really pleased with what we've been able to accomplish and
look forward to hearing the mix/master for the album. It's been great working with
Jason and I hope I can again in future.
I was really fortunate to be able to get in with Dean Malton of Groundloop Studios.
We've already started working on the balance of the album. He's another
awesome talent and I can't wait to share what's coming out of his hands!
In the meantime, are you ready to "Get Your Country On"?!!
I have to thank my good friend Adam Wallington (IceboX Studio and Production)
for "getting me" and my rough demos. This tune had an awesome start!
Barrytone Studios brought it home with some amazing talents. Jason Barry
(Producer, guitar, banjo, backing vocal), Shane Guse (fiddle), John Dymond (Bass),
Steve O’Connor (Recording Piano, Hammond Organ and /or Wurlitzer electric
piano), Lyle J. Molzan (Drums), and it is also an honour to have had Bruce
Bouton's hand in this project (Steel).
Love the graphic on this one, don't you?! Many thanks again to Bronwin of Feisty
Creative for her hard work & of course Mark Maryanovich for the wonderful
Keep an eye out for it in iTunes and Spotify - I hope you love it and please share!
Now some BIGGER news! You are the first to hear the title of the album - yes,
that's what I said!
After MUCH deliberation, I am pleased to announce that "Makin' A Life" will be
released a bit later this year. It has been a long time coming I know, and I thank
you for your patience. Cannot wait for you to hear it!
